KINNARIS Q is the powerhouse group forging new attitudes towards traditional and contemporary folk music with their unique signature sound. Full of joyful enthusiasm, their music is a celebration of culture, connection, and the sheer joy of making music together. Expect intricate arrangements, uplifting harmonies and big, bold, party vibes.

Having forged an iconic sound like no other, KINNARIS Q delivers the perfect combination, remaining faithful to their acoustic traditional roots while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of innovation. Their arrangements draw on global folk influences with elegance and sophistication, situating them at the forefront of the contemporary traditional Scottish music scene.

The four pillars of the band are accomplished musicians and composers, renowned for their individual styles. Their approach to creating music together is innovative, impulsive and instinctive, lending itself to a creative freedom that has established them as a must-see act.

From the beginning, KINNARIS Q has grasped the attention of festivals, media, peers and audiences across the globe, receiving widespread critical acclaim including The Belhaven Bursary for Innovation in Music (2019).

Recent collaborations have included writing and performing with musical heroes Karine Polwart, Julie Fowlis, Dreamers’ Circus, Frigg, and a guest appearance in pop superstar George Ezra’s End to End documentary on Amazon Prime.

This is a lovely light and welcoming building with a cafe and library during the day and some really excellent concerts and shows of all genres mostly in the evening. It's an intimate space but with capacity for several hundred people and tends to be competitively priced. It relies on volunteer support and is an excellent community hub.
