Grace Stuart Skinner

Grace Stewart Skinner + Rachel and Holli

4 June 2026

The time has come for Grace Stewart-Skinner to take her award nominated  and critically acclaimed debut album on tour, following its sell-out launch in  May, 2025.  Auchies Spikkin’ Auchie is a concept album effortlessly intertwining  recorded conversation with new compositions to create an ethnomusicological  postcard of Grace‘s wee home fishing village, Avoch

Grace has created a truly immersive live show featuring recorded dialogue, gorgeous visuals of Avoch, and performances from Grace on clàrsach, Rose  Logan on fiddles, Rhona MacDonald on double bass and Ewa Adamiec on  drum kit. By capturing Avoch’s unique dialect of Scots and local stories, it is an  innovative, moving, and beautiful celebration of linguistic and cultural heritage.

Opening the evening are Rachel & Holli, a Glasgow-based fiddle and accordion duo whose musical partnership began on the Argyll Ceilidh Trail in 2016. Their debut single In the Stream caught the attention of the folk world in 2025, and earlier this year the duo took home a Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections — one of Scottish folk music's most cherished honours for emerging artists. With their debut EP due this May, this is a duo very much on the rise.

Birnam Arts has made such a difference to Birnam since its redevelopment 20 years ago, and attracts an incredible variety of high-quality arts performers. It's also a great Community space. We're very happy to make a contribution to such an asset.
