Description

£16 per session or £76 for all 6.

A drop in pottery session for those who have already attended a weekend workshop or 6 week block of classes with us.

These sessions will allow you to work on your pottery skills and try out different projects.

Ellen will be there to answer any questions you have but no formal teaching will be done.

Clay will be available to use and work can be fired at an additional cost.

Currently running for 6 weeks every Wednesday evening 630-830pm from the 9th of November to the 14th of December at Birnam Arts.

Please book onto the class before 12pm on the day.

We are teaching a Pottery Weekend Workshop on the 26th & 27th of November from 10am to 4pm at Birnam Arts, Birnam, Scotland.

The workshop is for total pottery beginners as well as those looking dedicate time to focus on a project or to improve their ceramics techniques.

There will be the opportunity to learn how to throw on the potters wheel as well as use hand building techniques to create either sculptural or functional pottery. You will learn to trim, add handles, glaze and decorate your work and your work will be kiln fired for you to collect after the workshop.

The workshop is £170pp plus the cost of materials at £6/kg dry weight. That works out at around £2 per pot and you will only be charged for work you make that is fired.

There is a 15% off early bird discount for those signing up before the 6th of November and places are limited so do make sure to sign up fast.

Saturday 17th December Come and join the Kiln Creative for some festive fun.

We'll be making Christmas tree decorations and trying out throwing baubles and bells on the potter's wheel.

Mince pies included and Santa hats encouraged.

The session is open to beginners and children are welcome with a supervising adult.

There are two sessions available to choose from either:

1030am-1230pm or 130pm-330pm or book on to both for full festive day.

Star Star Star Star Star

I have enjoyed taking part in events such as Scots Opera before we came to live in the area. Since then we have enjoyed both attending events and the splendid cafe In the foyer. It is a brilliant example of a local/regional community arts initiative and must not be allowed to falter.
