Visual Arts Studio

CO-WORKING Free Fridays in the Visual Arts Studio

Thanks to further funding from Creative Scotland we are delighted to announce that we are now able to make our Visual Arts studio available as a CO-WORKING space to be used by Creatives to develop their practice every Friday, free of charge.

Birnam Arts is offering a unique rural co-working experience designed to boost creativity and escape traditional working environments.

A drop-in coworking and making space for all creatives; artists, graphic designers, writers, crafters and makers of all kinds seeking dedicated space to work, collaborate or develop their practice.

The Visual Arts Studio is a space to explore materials, creativity, and experimentation. This studio features a long workbench, two large tables, two sinks, a large west-facing window and wooden floors.

No need to book, just turn up.

Terms of use:

Opening times are 10am and vacating the studio by 4pm.

Please ensure that you clean and tidy the studio after use, and leave it in the condition that you found it on arrival.

All artists using the Visual Arts studio must complete a feedback survey after use.

The Birnam Book Festival Committee were so pleased with how the new facilities in the Auditorium added to an extremely professionally presented event. The lighting allowed us to create staging to match the country’s leading book festival events, such as we’ve seen in Edinburgh.

I have enjoyed taking part in events such as Scots Opera before we came to live in the area. Since then we have enjoyed both attending events and the splendid cafe In the foyer. It is a brilliant example of a local/regional community arts initiative and must not be allowed to falter.
