Are you a creative practitioner, publisher, writer or cultural business owner who lives and works in the locale of Birnam and Dunkeld? And, are you interested in self-publishing and zine-making and exploring what that might do for you? If yes, please do come and take part in a small-press publishing workshop on Sunday 14 December at 1pm-3pm which aims to discover the types of publications that you produce or are interested in producing, and their impact in connecting you with your community arts and culture, businesses and its environment.
The workshop is free to attend. Materials will be provided as well as some tea and biscuits!
This workshop will inform a research project by Louisa Preston, supported by the Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland, which is ending soon! Louisa is an artist-publisher and researcher at the University of Stirling. Her research is exploring creative forms of publishing connected to arts organisations situated in remote and rural areas of Scotland. For more info on that please visit the Press Room of www.researchtown.uk
Further project information and how participating in this zine workshop may be incorporated into this research can be found by following this Staff_PGR Participant Information Sheet.V2.pdf .
