Lever harpist Lucie Hendry exists in the space between genres, where tradition and musical curiosity intertwine with nature’s rich palette of colours and textures. Rooted in the Scottish folk tradition and shaped by the Nordic music scene, her music traces an organic, evolving journey - richly layered, soulful, and immersive.
Lucie is set to tour with her trio to celebrate the release of her second album, Ashes to Art - a reflection on navigating life’s shifting seasons, mirrored in the natural cycles of woods, seas, and earth. Joined by Chris Amer (guitar) and Christoffer Skovhus (drums), the trio presents a distinctive blend of original folk music infused with contemporary jazz influences. Together, their sound reflects a culmination of Lucie’s experiences, collaborations, and musical exploration since relocating to Denmark in 2020.
Following the success of her debut solo album Land of Eden - released in June 2023 and receiving national airplay in both the UK and Denmark - Lucie has performed at major festivals and stages across Scotland and Denmark. Balancing the intricacy of the harp with contemporary and global musical influences, Lucie Hendry has crafted a distinctive artistic voice - one rooted in tradition, yet continually reaching toward new creative horizons.
