Ellen Kiln Creative Clay

6 week Pottery block By Kiln Creative

18 September 2024

This class will show you all the stages and processes of making wheel thrown and hand built pottery. You will learn wheel throwing and hand building, attaching handles and decorating and glazing your work. The class is for beginners and intermediates alike and with four wheels to use there will be plenty of time to gain experience in both throwing and hand building pottery. All materials are provided just come along with your inspiration and ideas.

If you have already attended my pottery classes or have been to some elsewhere just get in touch to see if this would be suitable for you too. If you have a little more experience we can tailor the class to focus on specific techniques you would like to work on.

The classes will be every Wednesday evening at Birnam Arts from 6pm til 830pm starting on the 18th of September until the last session on the 23rd of October.

The class is £250 plus £7/kg of clay used; most pots made as a beginner will be approximately £2.50/pot and you only pay for the clay you fire. This will be paid at the end of the class block.

After participating you will be welcome to join in with our drop in sessions to continue your practice.

Star Star Star Star Star

I have enjoyed taking part in events such as Scots Opera before we came to live in the area. Since then we have enjoyed both attending events and the splendid cafe In the foyer. It is a brilliant example of a local/regional community arts initiative and must not be allowed to falter.
