The Bar Supervisor will play a key role in managing the bar during event evenings and supporting the wider development of the venue’s hospitality offer. Hours will start at 8–16 per week, with the potential to grow as the bar opens more regularly and our events programme expands. Usual working patten Thursday - Friday (Occasional Saturdays).
Immidiate start prefred but not essential.
• Running the bar during event nights
• Overseeing bar staff, including coordinating shifts and ensuring smooth service
• Managing stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring deliveries are organised
• Maintaining a clean, welcoming, and well-presented bar environment
• Ensuring licensing requirements and responsible service practices are followed
• Contributing ideas to develop and improve the bar offering
• Helping shape the future of the bar as part of Birnam Arts’ wider programme growth
We’re looking for someone who:
• Is confident taking ownership of their work
• Can think creatively about improving systems, service, and the customer experience
• Works well independently and as part of a small team
• Has experience in bar work, hospitality, or event support (desirable but not essential)
• Enjoys being part of a lively arts and community venue
