The role of Arts Programmer is central in the delivery of a buoyant programme of events, concerts, talks, festivals, workshops and screenings, taking place alongside a visual arts programme of installations and exhibitions.
You will be responsible for curating and delivering 35+ events per calendar year, largely taking place in our auditorium hall but also within other spaces within our venue.
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and motivated arts programmer to join the Birnam Arts Team. You will work with artists, agents and producers in the curation and programming of these events, across multi art performance platforms including dance, theatre, opera, storytelling, puppetry, comedy and music.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the arts and live event experiences. A proven track record of programming and/or producing is desirable but not essential. You will embrace collaboration and flexibility, have great interpersonal skills and a self-motivated attitude. The role would suit someone who thrives in a fun and fast paced environment. We are a vibrant, dynamic and bold organisation in which no two days are the same!
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment in which everyone can thrive.
We encourage candidates from all cultures and backgrounds to apply for this position.
Everyone is welcome to apply and we wholly encourage you to do so, regardless of background, culture, gender, ethnicity, age or ability. We hope to hear from you soon!
