Appearing for Dunkeld Living History Weekend/Dunkeld Archive

 

Daniel aims to showcase Scotland’s best historical characters and stories; you’ll learn and laugh about everything from William Wallace to Susan Boyle!

 

Comedian and historian Daniel Downie is also the creator of the acclaimed ‘Mountebank Comedy Walk of Edinburgh’ and ‘Mountebank History of Scotland’

 

So come along and laugh a lot while you learn a little! *no liability is accepted for those guests who die laughing!

Welcome to Birnam Arts, a boutique multi-purpose arts, conferencing and entertainment venue.

Highlights

Pop in to the Foyer Cafe for breakfast, grab a delicious coffee with a selection of our homemade baking or enjoy a light lunch whilst browsing on the free WiFi. Wander upstairs to view the latest of our monthly art exhibitions before visiting the world of Beatrix Potter, or the Gift Shop to purchase a special gift for your loved ones or yourself!

This is a lovely light and welcoming building with a cafe and library during the day and some really excellent concerts and shows of all genres mostly in the evening. It's an intimate space but with capacity for several hundred people and tends to be competitively priced. It relies on volunteer support and is an excellent community hub.
