Vicky Paul Soul Painting

Creative Colour Therapy Painting Workshop with Vicky Paul

Tue 2 Sep
18:00 - 20:00
Doors open 18:00

This light hearted and deeply awakening hands-on workshop is all about reconnecting with your creative soul. You will learn how colour and energy can help you step out of your head, reconnect with your truth, and release what may be holding you back from a more fulfilling life. It is an opportunity to go on a journey – spiritually, emotionally and creatively – to reveal and discover something new about yourself.

Creating spontaneously, and without judgement, is a liberating and healing experience. When you allow the painting to evolve, until there is an explosion of energy and colour on the canvas, you are able to tap into your inner knowing. This helps to release what may be holding you back, and is a beautiful way to support your mental and spiritual wellbeing.

No art/painting experience necessary.

Vicky Paul is a contemporary artist and intuitive, whose pioneering approach and deep insight sees her work with clients across the globe. She creates vibrant, contemporary abstract paintings to conceptualise that which exists but cannot be seen – inspired by her belief we carry inside us everything we seek outside us.

Her work is rooted in transformation, her passion for the mind body spirit connection and the golden thread that connects us. Vicky’s practise is deeply meditative, guided by the process rather than taking control of it. Using texture, layers and spontaneous mark making, Vicky aims to capture the energy of oneness, elemental matter, the unseen world, all things sharing a source energy and being connected to an infinite universe. Often featuring many layers, her work reflects the complexity of the human experience and the impact we have, and leave, on each other and the world around us.

Vicky has incorporated her passion for spiritual practises into developing herself as an artist, and describes her paintings as “a visual alchemy informed by the viewer’s own perceptions and personal experiences”.

Vicky Paul is a Scottish contemporary artist and intuitive living and working in Edinburgh.

She spent her childhood drawing and acting, inspired by her grandfathers' passion for painting, and a calling to express herself. Always a free spirit, Vicky travelled to India and the Middle East before settling in Paris for a year. Back in the UK, she enjoyed a successful career as an award-winning radio presenter, reporting backstage from the MTV VMA’s and interviewing everyone from Madonna, to Kylie and George Michael.

In her 30’s, a profound experience led Vicky to sense and work with energy, and she returned to painting as a form of therapy. Drawn to vibrant colour palettes, inspired by her passion for the natural world and her love of travel and different cultures, she found solace, freedom and rebellion in abstract painting. She paints quickly and intuitively using acrylics, mixed media and spray paint on canvas and wooden board.

Vicky began exhibiting in 2018, and curated her first solo virtual exhibition ‘Seen and Unseen’ during the pandemic. She has run intuitive painting workshops in London with Alternatives and the Mind Body Spirit Festival, and has worked with corporate clients using creativity to support staff wellbeing. Vicky also creates Soul Energy Portraits, contemporary, abstract ‘visual portals’ that involve deep energy healing, spiritual guidance and intuitive art. She is also a live event artist, paints out of her studio in Edinburgh and her work is part of private collections in the UK, USA, Canada, Japan and Dubai.
