Birnam Arts – Annual General Meeting 7.30pm 21st January 2019

Birnam Arts is owned and run by the community - you own us, you run us, come along hear our plans and have your say on the future of this vital community asset. 

 

As a community we are extremely fortunate to have an Arts & Community facility such as Birnam Arts - How many other small villages can boast an arts programme as varied, diverse and above all, high quality as ours?

Our conferences, weddings, exhibitions, workshops and performances lure in locals and visitors alike, making us a key component for the local economy as well as providing employment for over 20 staff members and volunteering opportunities for many more.

Birnam Arts is run as a charity - all profit from our commercial activities is used to subsidise our arts and community program - We're open until 10pm most nights hosting a wide range of community groups at affordable rates...

Offering so much isn't easy, presently we generate the vast majority of our own income -  there are a number of pressures on the horizon which will make it ever more challenging to continue offering the hugely valuable service we do.... Come along on Monday 21st January 2019 at 7.30pm to find out how we plan to deal with the forthcoming work on the A9 which may well affect the whole community quite dramatically, how we plan to expand our funding base to allow us to renew and improve our ageing physical surroundings in the lead up to our 20th birthday celebrations in June of 2021 and the plans we are making to mitigate the worst of the current economic uncertainty.
